Description
The Structural Engineer will assist in data center site selection, reviewing geotechnical and due diligence report, concept and design development of data center projects, which maintain the highest performance standards.
Successful candidates will be strong leaders who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery. The Data Center business requires creative engineering balanced with high quality and a strong customer focus.
Key job responsibilities
The Structural Engineer’s main responsibility will be to develop and maintain design standards, design prototypes, and produce template specifications for each site design’s requirements. You will also be expected to communicate conceptual designs and create/maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction.
Other important duties include:
• Coordinate with Due Diligence teams to determine site selection criteria and create, review, and release design Request for Proposals
• Manage our external structural design consultants through the design and construction process, as well as coordinate with internal and external mechanical, electrical and plumbing design engineers.
• Travel for site assessments, internal design meetings, construction review, and interfacing with authorities having jurisdiction. Anticipated travel is approximately 20%.

The Data Center Design Engineering team is now looking for a Structural Engineer to drive design, construction and implementation of enterprise data center buildings, which meet strict quality and performance levels. As a member of the Structural Engineering arm of the Design Engineering team, you be expected to leverage your structural knowledge with not just your immediate Structural Engineering colleagues, but the broader design and delivery teams are a whole.
