This position will be primarily based in Reynosa, Mexico, and must have valid visa and availability to travel.
The Continuous Improvement Specialist at the Ferrara Candy Company (FCC) will contribute to building and sustain a continuous improvement culture across all levels of the factory using a variety of continuous improvement tools. This individual will work cross functionally using strong communication skills to instill a culture focused on prioritizing top losses and using strong analytical skills to improve safety, quality, cost, and OEE on a daily basis.
Ways you will make a difference
Champion continuous improvement and TPM methodologies along with a Lean mindset across the facility and train/support Managers and Supervisors as necessary.
Develop and mentor professional growth and advancement of departmental staff.
Guide the plant floor data standardization, collection, utilization, and management to drive continuous improvement.
Skills that will make you successful
Strong communication skills and ability to build and lead teams.
Analytical mind set. Ability to manipulate data and numbers to identify patterns and trends.
Experiences that will support your success
Bilingual English/Spanish.
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or technical/business field.
5+ years of continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment.
Six Sigma green belt or higher certification preferred.
Formal Continuous Improvement experience. Familiarity with the full spectrum of Continuous Improvement tools (LEAN, Six Sigma, TPM, 5S, Kaizen etc….) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
