Position Summary
The Recruiter leads full-cycle recruiting for professional roles across IDEAL Industries’ business divisions. In our high-growth environment, this role partners with hiring managers and HR leaders to attract strong talent, make sound selection decisions, and deliver an excellent candidate experience while helping preserve and strengthen our cherished workplace culture.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, strong sourcing and relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience recruiting in a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or technology environment is preferred.
This is a remote role; candidates located in northeastern Illinois are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Partnership
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for professional, technical, and leadership roles across multiple business units, demonstrating drive for results through timely follow-through and high-quality hiring outcomes.
- Partner with hiring managers and HR leaders to define candidate profiles, recruiting strategies, interview plans, and selection criteria, using collaboration to align stakeholders and move searches forward.
- Screen, interview, and assess candidates, applying sound judgement to recommendations and seeking guidance when situations are new or unclear.
- Coordinate interviews, assessments, offers, negotiations, and candidate communications to create a responsive and professional experience.
Sourcing & Continuous Improvement
- Source and engage active and passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, networking, industry associations, and other relevant channels.
- Build pipelines for critical and recurring roles and use market data to inform recruiting strategies and workforce planning.
- Demonstrate adaptability by adjusting priorities and sourcing approaches as business needs, market conditions, and stakeholder expectations change.
- Apply a growth mindset by seeking feedback, testing new approaches, and using data and lessons learned to improve recruiting outcomes.
Candidate Experience & Recruiting Operations
- Provide hiring managers with timely updates and practical guidance on talent availability, compensation expectations, and candidate engagement.
- Represent IDEAL Industries’ culture and values while maintaining clear, respectful communication with candidates.
- Maintain accurate applicant tracking system records, monitor recruiting metrics, and follow applicable employment laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support employer-brand and talent-attraction initiatives as needed.
Success Measures
- Builds strong candidate pipelines and fills roles with qualified talent.
- Balances speed, quality, and stakeholder needs throughout the hiring process.
- Earns trust with hiring managers and provides a consistently positive candidate experience.
- Uses recruiting data, curiosity and feedback to improve results.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
- Experience sourcing, screening, and engaging candidates for professional roles.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple searches and changing priorities.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter or similar sourcing tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
